Courtney was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in January 2019. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources and Legal Studies from Cape Breton University and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England. Courtney believes with both her business and legal education background, this diversity affords her the opportunity to bring a unique perspective to her practice and the required knowledge to realize proven results.

Courtney’s practice focuses primarily on Civil Litigation and Personal Injury law. She also routinely practices in the areas of Wills & Estate Planning as well as other litigation areas such as Criminal and Family.

Prior to completing her articling term, she spent time volunteering at the Kent Law Clinic in Canterbury, England in her final year at the University of Kent and works hard to establish and maintain her involvement in many local/community activities.

Courtney was born and raised in Glace Bay and is excited to have the opportunity to return to her roots and to build a Law practice on Cape Breton Island. She is solution driven and prides herself on establishing effective communication methods with her clients so that they are kept informed throughout their legal engagement with her.. She is dedicated to working hard and diligently to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.

In her spare time Courtney enjoys CrossFit, hiking and spending time with friends and family.
