ABOUT KATIE

Katie is happy to return to Sampson McPhee as an Associate Lawyer after working at the firm as a summer student since completing her second year of studies and returning to article following graduation. Katie received her Juris Doctor from the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law in May of 2023 where she received the Cape Breton Barrister’s Society Scholarship and Christopher Hicks Scholarship in Criminal Law during her studies.

During her time at the University of New Brunswick, Katie volunteered her spare time drafting wills, powers of attorney, and personal directives for low-income community members in partnership with a Regional firm in New Brunswick through Pro-Bono Students Canada.

Katie is thrilled to be continuing her legal career at home on Cape Breton Island and she looks forward to offering legal services to clients in a variety of practice areas.
